We Are The World Blogfest is here with its fourth edition .

Am I truly generous ...like sharing things with my near and dear ones or what about strangers ? Does it only signify sharing a pen , pencil , book or clothes or could it mean a magnanimous showering of my priceless possessions without thinking twice about them . Well , I can feel a twitch in my heart as the question is not so simple as it seems .
Long or short , old or new , any story of kindness is worth noting . Just came across this quite an old news about Daniel Black and Brecon Vaughan , an exemplary act of generosity which pulled my heartstrings because a person involved in such act of kindness can only be considered a godsend.
Brecon Vaughan , is a schoolboy , who is suffering from cerebral palsy . It is only a surgery that could enable him to walk , but such operations are extremely expensive . How would the arrangements be made for such a lumpsome amount . But the incredible thing is about to happen . Yes , a godsend situation when a stranger named Daniel Black , who was paralysed and wanted to walk again , thought less of himself and gifted a whopping amount to the little boy's operation .
Does'nt this story of generosity implies that there's no limit to being generous . I feel so and hope we all join hands in being more generous !!!

Hi Sinchita - what an amazing story - I hadn't noted it ... but so incredibly generous ... thank you for letting us know - what a great inspirational story - making us think about our own needs - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteMay I add a note .. I just looked and apparently Brecon was able to ditch his walking frame and two years ago (2015) was able to walk on his own - let's hope he has got stronger ever since. H
