DARK LOVE
Love is colourless and odourless because it is priceless. But for this love you pay the price of few bucks, just to deviate yourself from dishing out bigger amounts.Confused! So was I when the recent news was published in an article that eating a small to medium chunk of chocolate helps you to lose weight, only if it is ingested judiciously in the diet regimen.
Will Clower is a Neuroscientist whose book Eat chocolate Lose Weight, highlights this issue.According to him, chocolate consumption diminishes the hunger each day.His theory has also been proved correct after conducting few studies. The intake of this calorie enriched food actually reduces the appetite for other food.
"What we see in all these people is that the amount that they"re hungry for at the plate will drop by a half to a third ," he told CBS News Pittsburgh. "And the amount that they're hungry for,the amount of between-meal snacks that they have, will drop by about a half."
Through the book,DrClower has specified certain guidelines, specially treating chocolate lovers with a feast of dark chocolate whenever possible.According to him,the food value of dark chocolate outnumbers others as it protects against sunburn and cancer, provides energy, stabilises blood sugar, and also improves mood.
A note of all these good stuffs indicate that the sole ingredient in chocolate comes from only one place, which is cocoa.Chocolate which has 70 percent or higher amount of cocoa in it ,is considered best.
But milk chocolate has higher concentration of sugar than cocoa.
The intake of these sweet chocks should follow his recommended guidelines for best results. This delectable piece of chocolate should be eaten 20 minutes before lunch or dinner,as well as five minutes after these meals.
"The little piece of wonderful, rich dark chocolate at the end of your meal....stabilises the sugar onset in your bloodstream,so that you have more of that blood sugar more often throughout the afternoon,so you're not just hungry," he explained.
The warning note underlying these guidelines is that the chocolate should be eaten in small portions, such as just a square of it each time.
